A flashy, yet practical site that showcases the sophistication and professionalism of this event planning company.

BCR Events needed a newer, more robust web site to showcase all of their services. I was brought in to strategize the development of this project.

The key objectives were to build a site that was vibrant and appealing while establishing functionality and features that communicated the sophisticated nature of BCR, as well as their professionalism.

This Flash based site balances animated and static elements for a practical yet appealing experience overall.

A flash site developed with ease of use and flexibility in mind. All content and presentation is managed without editing in Flash.

This gallery site is built in Flash and uses client controls to dictate content. Lists of artists, images and thumbnails are pulled in and placed automatically, based on client settings using text (.txt) files.

This project was developed using text (.txt) files due to its familiarity and ease of editing I do not edit or maintain this site so my goal was to give the client a platform for easy updating and expanding their catalog of artists and exhibitions.

Action Script driven companion site for a public art installation by Chicago artist Jonathan Gitelson.

Chicago artist Jonathan Gitelson recently completed a permanent installation for the Armitage-Brown Line station in Chicago. While the installation of his piece took place I developed a companion site using Flash. This site is driven by ActionScript 2.0, all shapes drawn, images loaded and functions completed using Action Script.

The focus of this site is the content. Jon and I worked collaboratively on design elements to keep it clean and simple. The real enjoyment comes from the pairing of audio (MP3) tracks and photographs.

So make cup of tea, grab your headphones and spend sometime listening to Chicago El Stories.

This flash site is built for easy updating with dynamic image and text loading with expanding and full control of multiple portfolios.

A new portfolio site for Charles Kay Jr., a photographer based in Omaha, NE. Most of Charles’ site consists of photographs from his frequent trips to Paris. The classic and elegant elements of these images influenced the design heavily. A slight tint of color was used to break up the monochromatic, flat, gray look and to add a bit of depth to the site over all. Spatially the site has breathing room for both square and rectangular formatted images.

This Flash site is built for easy updating with dynamic image and text loading. It is expandable for 1-5 portfolios with plenty of room for more later if needed.

Laurie Victor Kay is a photographer in Omaha, Nebraska. This site showcases her fine art work and was designed in Flas. Along with an interactive CD-Rom and a full identity system this site rounded out a complete branding effort for Laurie.

Later the site was reprogrammed for easier updating. Using dynamically loaded images so that Laurie never has to edit the original Flash files.

Laurie has full external control of her galleries, the number of images displayed and the number of galleries (1-4) that are accessible at any time.

The first fully-functioning Flash site I ever completed. Included for sentimental reasons.

From 2001-2002 I designed and maintained tribalgear.com—this is the last and most sophisticated version of the site I was responsible for. The gallery section is the core of the site and has the highest level of interactivity. So feel free to check it out but make sure you click on galleries.

As my first major Flash design project all of this was accomplished well before the existence of ActionScript 2.0.
